My client is a world leader in their field, with offices based over the world. They are currently looking for a Web Development Manager to work out of their East London office.
As Web Development Manager you will be responsible for the following:
• Improving the search ranking of all websites on popular search engines.
• Candidate must ensure that all internal web authors are suitably trained and have sufficient resources and tools (hardware and software) to be able to perform there jobs. You must also look to develop the people resources and tools that allow the company to sell and market their products online
• The role will require the candidate to liaise with all areas of business, specifically purchasing and sales / marketing, CAMs, Chartco, Equipment and HR. The candidate will be able to manage projects from inception to delivery.
• To develop and maintain a website policy which will govern the technology and infrastructure to support the company.
• To ensuring that all internal authors comply with the companywebsite policies. This will be in conjunction with all users and stakeholders.
• To ensuring that any data required to be updated from other business systems and business stake holders is transferred in a timely and efficient manner.
• To ensure that a suitable security strategy is in place to protect websites and the data held on them.
• Where required manage external suppliers where they will be asked to provide Website services. This will include specification for new builds, right through to day-to-day management.
• To ensure the correct backup policies are set and implemented.
• Develop the tools and technology to help promote all areas of the business including products and services through marketing and making it easier for Customers to buy online. All areas are impacted by the use of technology to deliver information to customers and personnel, therefore the candidate must make the best use of the technology available
• To develop and implement a consistent branding for all company website
