My client is currently looking for an experience Legal Secretary to work within their Family Law Department, providing full secretarial support and personal assistant to the Fee Earner.

The successful candidate must be able to handle minor problems and enquiries on their own initiative and to be able to identify issues which require further attention and pass these on to the relevant person.

Main duties of the role include:

1. First point of contact with clients in relation to the making of appointments.
2. Dealing with telephone queries from clients or other solicitors or callers.
3. Liasing between Legal Clerk and clients.
4. Audio typing all correspondence and documents using word-processing.
5. Arranging and maintaining an adequate filing system
6. Keeping diaries
7. Sorting incoming and outgoing post both for and after signature
8. Communicating information to others within the department and firm as the need arises.
9. Photocopying and sending faxes
10. Attending and participateing in team meetings

Salary negotiable depending on experience.
